Don't be fooled by the term "mild" in mild Traumatic Brain Injury. (mTBI) "Mild" refers only to the amount of time that the patient may have experienced a loss of consciousness (LOC) or not. It does not mean "minor". Even a "mild" Traumatic Brain Injury can require a lifetime of central nervous system (CNS) care.
Documenting and Diagnosing mTBI. Even though some accident victims who sustain an mTBI have temporal and proximate documentation in the EMS report and/or ER chart it often remains undiagnosed, ignored, or missed by their treating physician or chiropractor as they are primarily focused on orthopedic injuries and not CNS injuries and their life-long sequela. Other reasons for this lack of recognition include the fact that many mTBI symptoms may not appear for as long as a week after the injury, that many well-meaning yet unaware doctors neglect to ask specifically about concussion symptoms or attribute them to other injuries and patients neglect to talk about concussion symptoms because they don't relate their often unusual or disparate physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms to a concussion.
As an attorney who wants the absolute very best for their clients, there is something you can do to help ensure that they receive the amount of lifetime CNS care they deserve.
Simply have all clients, new and existing, invest 3 minutes completing the Rivermead Questionnaire and if a concussion is suspected, contact us.

Data Analysis You Can Trust From Expert Neurologists
1. Fast, Accurate & Revealing
The test is painless and takes less than an hour. When MRI & CT are non-revealing, EEG/ERP shows cortical dysfunction. It's the best test to do first.
2. Cost-Effective
Cognision System EEG/ERP has a proven track record of providing an excellent ROI.

3. Real-Time Analytics
Immediate access to patient test data through Cognision's web-based portal.
About
mTBI Epedemic
The Brain Injury Society “In fact, motor vehicle accidents (MVA) and falls are responsible for most TBIs suffered by Americans. According to the CDC about 2 million Americans per year experience TBI, with 14.3% caused by traffic accidents and 40.5% caused by falls. That means some 286,000 TBIs result from car crashes annually. The actual number may be much higher because brain injuries aren’t always immediately obvious after an accident. Indeed, TBI is commonly referred to as a “silent” epidemic because many people do not associate brain injury with concussions—the most common form of TBI.”
ERP
ERP or Event Related Potential is a functional evaluation of the brain for better identification of injury from micro-trauma that results from stretched axons and neurons as well as chemical changes not evidenced on CT or MRI.
Technology
Cognision Systems® is an FDA-cleared EEG/ERP* used by neurologists and major pharmaceutical companies including Merck. It is perfect as a mobile testing device for brain dysfunction seen in Concussion and Post-Concussion Syndrome. Accepted by Medicare and insurance Cognision-type ERP evaluation for TBI is recommended by one of the world's leading evidence-based medical guidelines.
Testimonials
“We just settled a case for 255K. The client had both a negative brain CT from the ER and a negative brain MRI study. The EEG-ERP technology from Concussion Testing Services was instrumental in accurately documenting the missed TBI. CTS also introduced us to the top experts in the field of TBI who solidified the diagnosis. The client was very happy.”

"Thanks for your help on this one! This was a great recovery and your test proved instrumental. I am fine with your sharing this info for marketing purposes. A great result that relied on your test!" James (Buddy) Lloyd II, Esq. 918.246.0200 bl@lloydlaw.com
"I highly recommended that fellow attorneys and doctors use your services of EEG/ERP testing for the purpose of proving that their client or patient suffered a concussion resulting in traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome. I just got a $30,000.00 settlement on a case where only $11,000.00 was offered prior to having my client being EEG/ERG tested..."

Cognision Testimonials:
"I have been using COGNISION® since 2016. It’s been an excellent tool added to my practice in evaluation of cognition. I find it can corroborate subtle cognitive changes as well as help monitor them too. It’s a very useful metric to have at your disposal in a general or behavior neurological practice. Patients tolerate the testing very well in our office and our technologist has found it very user friendly with excellent support for any questions that may arise.

We received a grant from Neuronetrix as part of their grant competition program to begin a demonstration project on the utility of using the COGNISION® System. Our research work was in low and middle-income countries, specifically Sub-Saharan Africa. The Neuronetrix staff was very helpful in working with us to set up the system to ensure it would work optimally in the field. We were able to show that the system was very user-friendly and easy to learn for our local research assistants. It was also very resistant to issues with interference, grounding and even sounds from busy clinics in the next room. On an individual basis, we were able to see differences between patients with significant neurological conditions and healthy controls, and also to see potential differences between small groups of older HIV patients in comparisons to older controls. Data is also promising in the system’s ability to demonstrate possible brain changes following computer-based cognitive training and other interventions in the field. Overall, the system appears to be very dependable and able to be used even in more difficult, remote areas. For clinical trials or other research in cross-cultural settings when local languages can vary so much, the COGNISION® System presents an important option for research-based direct, biological measurements.

Our never-ending endeavors to expand reliable, cost-effective diagnostics and therapeutic options for cognitive rehab is an unrelenting daily effort. The addition of qEEG and ERP tests, using the COGNISION® platform added nearly two years ago, has provided clinically relevant information not obtainable from currently available “functional testing”, such as Virtual Reality or Neuropsychologic Testing. Consequently, we have successfully performed over 400 of these studies, allowing us to substantially augment our diagnostic capabilities.

Cognision® has been a useful tool in my outpatient neurology practice for helping narrow down the differential diagnosis of dementia in our patients with co-morbid psychiatric disorders such as depression. The availability of this testing (done in our office and by our office staff) is a definite benefit to our patients. The Neuronetrix Customer service has been very helpful with any questions or difficulties we encountered and are always readily available.
